Shipboard Control Systems and Beyond

ACS has provided shipboard control systems for the marine industry since the late 1990’s. We have equipment operating on commercial vessels, U.S. Coast Guard ships, and U.S. Navy ships. We understand the harsh environment that ships encounter, especially saltwater ships, and we know how to design for it.

Marine Defense

ACS is proud to have designed, built, and qualified equipment for the extreme demands of the U.S. Navy. We have qualified equipment to the requirements for shock (MIL-DTL-901), vibration (MIL-STD-167-1), shipboard environment (MIL-STD-810), shipboard electrical interface (MIL-STD-1399), and ABS. ACS’ engineering team also has over 25 years of experience in designing Underway Replenishment (UNREP) equipment and systems, including for the U.S. Navy’s standard system (E-STREAM). We understand how important it is that everything work correctly for underway replenishment ships, and we work to guarantee absolute efficiency, safety, and functionality for these crucial vessels.

Training & Grooming

Once your control system, machinery, or UNREP systems are in place, it’s important to certify that your crew knows how to use and respond to them. ACS offers marine equipment training to ensure the crew understands the system design, proper operation methods, maintenance, and troubleshooting. We have provided this for over a decade on the B Class 225 WLB’s for the U.S. Coast Guard, and we can provide it on your vessel.

Additionally, ACS can provide equipment grooming to ensure your system is ready for operation at sea. This process includes verifying E-stop circuits, updating required equipment maintenance, repairing or replacing equipment that is faulty, and updating controls that are now obsolete.
